Clayton County is transitioning from a suburban bedroom community to an urban mixed-use community, primarily in the northern portion of the county where the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is located. As a result, the county has several redevelopment plans in place and continues to evaluate various public financing options to support these plans.
